Conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The defendant is one of in excess of 20 defendants who are charged with conspiring to supply class A drugs over a 4-year period from 2017 to 2021 across East London. The evidence in this case revolves around observation evidence, cell site evidence and ANPR. The papers served to date are in excess of 16,000 pages.

Conspiracy to supply class A drugs. County lines drugs operation being run from London to Leicester for 10 months. Evidence revolved around the movement of drug phones, which co-located with personal phones. In excess of 15,000 pages of evidence served.

Possession of firearm with intent to endanger life. The case relates to the seizure of a loaded handgun which the police believe was to be used in a shooting.

2023 Aylesbury Crown Court (Ongoing)
Assisting an organised crime group. The defendant is charged with encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence. The defendant who at the time of the alleged offences was employed by a firm of solicitors as a defence consultant. His actions are alleged to have been committed whilst he acted for a number of individuals involved within significant kilo drug deals and money laundering, said to be in the millions, who used Encrochat handsets.

Conspiracy to supply class A drugs.The defendant is charged with conspiring to supply class A drugs from 2021 to 2023 across Newham East London. This case relates to a pro-active investigation by the gang unit to target drug dealing within the Newham borough.

2023 Basildon Crown Court (Ongoing)
Conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The defendant is charged with conspiring to supply 4 kilos of class A drugs following a pro-active observation led investigation by the Organised Crime Partnership in the Grays area of Essex.

2023 Central Criminal Court
Murder. Client charged with murder and robbery. One of 5 defendants charged. Alleged to have targeted the victim and stole drugs and money in the process. Victim was stabbed at his home address 5 times. Case revolves around CCTV, cell site and forensic evidence. Client acquitted of Murder – convicted of lesser charge of manslaughter.

2023 Central Criminal Court
Murder. Client charged with murder and conspiracy to rob – client one of 3 who are alleged to have targeted and robbed the victim of a watch believed to be valued at between £250,000 - £350,000 in the City of London whilst he was having a night out. During the robbery the victim was stabbed in the chest which pierced his heart. Case revolves around CCTV, ANPR and cell site evidence. Client acquitted of Murder – convicted of lesser charge of manslaughter.

2022 Southwark Crown Court
Attempt Murder. The defendant was originally charged with attempted murder following a shooting on a residential street in East London with a number of others. Following discussions with the prosecution the defendant pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

2022 Leicester Crown Court
Conspiracy to supply class B drugs. The defendant is one of nine charged with conspiring to supply drugs. The allegation is that the defendant along with others was supplying drugs into HMP Gartree, including to prisoners serving life for murder. Case revolves around cell site and messages found on illicit mobile phones within HMP Gartree.

2022 Snaresbrook Crown Court
Conspiracy to Burgle. The defendant along with a number of others is charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries of storage units across East and South East London. In one burglary alone, in excess of £1,000,000 worth of items were stolen. Evidence of CCTV and cell site are relied upon by the prosecution.

2021 Woolwich Crown Court
Attempt Murder. The defendant following a recommendation, approached Peter, having been convicted of 4 offences (possession of firearms x 2, possession of ammunition and possession of a bladed article) on an 8-count indictment – 2 co-defendants were found not guilty of all charges at trial. In his first trial, the defendant, with his previous solicitors, denied being present at the scene. The defendant having transferred representation to SGK faced a re-trial of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life – the defendant changed his defence and now accepted he was present at the scene. The defendant faced an allegation that he along with 3 others sort to avenge the murder of a friend some years earlier on the complainant who in turn had been acquitted of the friend’s murder. The defendant along with 3 others chased the complainant in a vehicle which he decamped from – the pursuit continued on foot which in the main was caught on CCTV. One of the others, with the defendant, used a sawn-off shotgun to damage the vehicle the complainant had decamped from. Unfortunately, the sawn-off shotgun accidentally discharged into his chest casing him fatal injuries. The defendant during the retrial accepted presence and denied an intention to kill or intent to endanger life and was found not guilty within 2 hours.

2021 Bristol Crown Court
Conspiracy to import class B drugs. The defendant faced a 4 count drugs indictment which included the importation of and distribution of significant quantities of drugs. This case centre around the use of Encrochat handsets which enabled individuals to exchange messages and photos anonymously until the servers were hacked by French authorities. The messages from the Encrochat showed that in excess of 50 kilos of cannabis and ketamine were being supplied.

2021 Maidstone Crown Court
Conspiracy to supply class B drugs. Year-long conspiracy to supply class B drugs following observation evidence and mobile phone attribution relating to the movements of defendants moving from various properties in Kent, Essex and Hertfordshire including commercial premises where cannabis was being grown for onward supply.

2021 Snaresbrook Crown Court
Conspiracy to supply class A drugs following an undercover police operation. In excess of 40,000 pages of evidence served. Modern Slavery/duress issues raised – case dropped on day 1 of trial following disclosure requests.

2020 Criminal Cases Review Commission (Ongoing)
Murder. Advising in a referral to the CCRC following a conviction for gang related murder in 2009. This matter is being investigated and witnesses traced and interviewed in anticipation of a submission to the CCRC with assistance of junior counsel and QC.

2020 Wood Green Crown Court
Acted for defendant in conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to manage a brothel following a surveillance operation. Client pleaded guilty to managing a brothel but denied, and was acquitted of, conspiracy to supply class A drugs following a 10-week trial. The case attracted extensive media attention given the involvement of a former England Rugby captain.

2019 Central Criminal Court
Murder. Represented two defendants (cousins) charged with 2 others in 9-week gang murder in which the victim was shot with a sawn-off shotgun at point blank range. This case centred on mobile phone evidence and evidence from a car tracking device that was being driven by one of the defendants. Both defendants acquitted of murder and manslaughter. One of these defendants was the same defendant in the 2017 gang murder at the Central Criminal Court for which he was also acquitted.

2019 Ipswich Crown Court
Murder. Defendant charged with murder of gang member following a drug ‘turf war’ with two groups in Ipswich area. Case involved mobile phone, DNA, Pathologist instruction to examine blunt force trauma and car tracking evidence. The victim was stabbed 13 times in close proximity within yards of his home address.

2018 Snaresbrook Crown Court
Possession of firearms with intent to endanger life. Defendant charged with possession of 2 sawn off shotguns which were found in a car. Not guilty pleas were entered and the case was prepared for trial. Following requests for disclosure the Crown refused to disclose material and offered no evidence.

2018 Kingston Crown Court
Conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Represents one defendant in a multi-handed allegation of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. This involves an Organsied Crime Command investigation over a 14 month period which resulted in the seizure of over 100 kilos of cocaine and hundreds of thousands of pounds in cash, with in excess of 100,000 pages of evidence served. The Crown asserted that given the activities of members in this conspiracy meant that in excess of one tonne of cocaine was supplied. This case centred on the use of encrypted devices known as Encrochat, PGP and BQ Aquarius devices which have security features which are difficult to bypass.

Represents one of 7 defendants charged with a ‘county line’ conspiracy to supply class A drugs following a Trident Gang Command proactive investigation over 9 months. It is alleged by police that drug line is controlled from London and drug deals are done in Ipswich area.
